Arnøya

Arnøya is the 15th largest island in Norway. The island has around 300 permanent residents, most of whom live in four places: Lauksletta, Arnøyhamn, Akkarvik and Årviksand. The island’s largest industry is salmon farming.

Arnøya has a wonderful and varied landscape where you can go on many nice walks, including the Arnøya cultural trail. Signs have been erected along the cultural trail with information about the local nature and culture. You will find a description of the cultural trail and other recommended hikes in our hiking guide here

The highest peak on Arnøya is Arnøyhøgda (1,170 m).
