Svensby

Svensby is a farming settlement located on the eastern side of Ullsfjorden, surrounded by the Lyngen Alps. The ferry connection between Svensby and Breivikeidet means it takes a little over to travel between Svensby and the city of Tromsø.

Service provision
Svensby has many exciting experiences you can take part in, especially nature-based experiences.
Zapffe Café and kiosk at the ferry quay in Svensby serve good coffee, baguettes, soups, cakes and pastries.

There are no shops in Svensby. The closest alternatives are Lyngseidet (21 km) or Nord-Lenangen (41 km).

Svensby Tursenter, which is situated 500 m from the ferry quay, has five cabins, camping/tent sites and meals on request. Svensby Tursenter also offers organised activities such as dog sledding and snowmobiling.

Getting to Svensby


Ferry
Svensby has a ferry connection with Breivikeidet in Tromsø municipality on the other side of the Ullsfjorden.

Nord-Lenangen is situated about 40 km north of Svensby on the Lyngen Peninsula. From here, there is an express boat connection with both Tromsø and Skjervøy.
