Sailing and visiting Uløya - Lyngen Experience

Join us on a trip from Nord-Lenangen, around the Lyngen Alps to Havnnes, Norway's northernmost trading post still in operation. The village is like an open museum where you can learn about the stockfish production and local history.
We set sail from Nord Lenangen docks for about an hour and a half through the fjords until we dock in the southern tip of the island of Uløya at Havnnes, listed into Olavrose, a recognised list of Norwegian heritage.
This amazing area looks like an open museum but is Norway’s northernmost trading post and is still in operation.
As we walk around this beautiful island we can learn all about it, from the stockfish production to the history of each building, some of them were built around 1700, but they are still having plenty of life.
History dates from around 6000 years ago and goes all to way to our dates, many people have lived on this island, and was even invaded by the German occupation.
Nowadays is run by Giæver family who came to Havnnes in 1795, and they have been running it since then.
During our visit, we will have the chance to enjoy a prepacked lunch enjoying a wonderful view and the best hospitality on the island.
