Itinerary

Day 1:    Arrival      

Pick up in Sørkjosen/Skjervøy and drive up the Reisa Valley to the lodge for check in. Enjoy a dinner in the evening.

Day 2-3(4):    Winter activities

After enjoying your breakfast, it is time to get ready for the days activity. Ice-climbing, snowmobile safari or a snowshoe hike.
Returning to the lodge you have the option of enjoying the rooftop jacuzzi or relaxing in our lounge.
Dinner is served in the evening.

Day 4(5):    Departure

After breakfast we plan for your departure, depending on which mode of transport you’ve booked.

About the Lodge:
The lodge has 6 large double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a small apartment with 3 bedrooms and own entrance. 3 of the double rooms have a river view while the other 3 have a mountain view. 

The bar in the lodge is inspired by the Aurora Spirit Distillery and of course you can enjoy the products produced at the local distillery. A perfect place to unwind after a long day, or you might want to relax in front of the fireplace in the lounge.
 

Jazucci: You are welcome to use our the outdoor jazucci. After a long day outside it is the perfect way to relax and if you are lucky, you may see the northern lights while sitting in the warm jazucci.

Activities:
During your stay you will participate in different activities. Most of these activities are guided by ourself. That gives us a lot of flexibility to design the activities for the needs of our guests.

  • Northern light activities: We offer special evening and night activities, during which you might be lucky to see the green dancing queen.
    Depending on your taste, preferences and difficulty, we can take you to a few special viewpoints near the lodge, or near the coast.We offer easy activities suitable for families and the elderly but also more adventurous for active people.
    Duration: 3-5 hours
  • Snowshoes: Snowshoeing is a fantastic way to experience the beautiful Reisadalen or surroundings, whether in the forest, on the coast or in the mountains. We offer several options for a snowshoe trip. Depending on your preferences and difficulty, we can take you to a few special viewpoints that offer a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. During the trip we
    will make a fire and serve hot drinks and local snacks.
    Duration: 3-4 hours
  • Ice fishing: On our family friendly ice fishing trip, you will be fishing on an easily accessible frozen freshwater lake in Reisa Valley located about 5 km from Reisa Lodge. Our experienced guide will teach you all the tricks about this traditional and very popular local activity.
    Enjoy the beautiful scenery, surrounded by mountains while relaxing with hot beverages and local snacks by the fire.
    Duration: ca 3 hours
  • Dogsledding: Enjoy the stunnig winter landscape on a unique dogsledding tour. Control your own dog sled during a ride through the winter landscape of the Reisa Valley. On this trip, everyone will get the opportunity to manage the team. During the trip, we stop at our wilderness camp and enjoy hot food and drink.
    Duration: ca 3 hours
  • Snowmobiling - self drive: Close to Reisa Lodge, we are very privileged to find Norway’s best snowmobile trails. We offer two options for a trip on a snowmobile – a daylight trip in beautiful surroundings of the Reisa valley or evening trip during which we search for the Northern Lights. You can share a snowmobile with a partner, and change between the driver and passenger role or go on one snowmobile with our guide. 
    Duration: 3-5 hours
  • Snowmobiling - Sledge: Close to Reisa National Park, in Norway's finest snowmobile trails, we travel deep into the mountains to ice-covered fishing lakes on an adventurous snowmobile sleigh ride. Enjoy the scenery of arctic wilderness, snowy landscape and ice-covered lakes from the comfort of our secure and weather protected sleigh.
    Duration: 3-5 hours

Activities: we reserve the right to modify the activity programme in case of bad weather or other unforeseen situations.
