Experience a few days or a long weekend in beautiful and calm surroundings. Enjoy the nature while dog sledding or snowmobiling and on your own at the foot of the Lyngen Alps.

From your base at Svensby Tursenter, it is a short way to an amazing terrain with marked trails. The Lyngen Alps provide a majestic backdrop to dog sledding and snowshoeing. You can borrow snowshoes with us, at no extra cost. We can also give you tips on where to go to get the best experience.
Here you can relax, enjoy the nature and recharge your energy.
Program:
Day 1:
Arrive and check in at Svensby Tursenter. You will receive your own code to your cabin. Relax and cook your own dinner in your kitchen.
Day 2:
Wake up and enjoy your morning. It is possible to buy a breakfast package delivered to your cabin.
Time to head of for todays adventure.
- Dog sledding - starts at 10:30 or 14:30, it is a 10 min drive from Svensby Tursenter towards Lyngseidet. You will see a sign from the road when you need to turn off. A sledge with a Lyngen Safari sign on.
The afternoon can be spent relaxing in the cabin or borrow the snowshoes and explore the area. Enjoy your company and cook your own dinner together in your kitchen.
Day 3:
Wake up and enjoy your morning. It is possible to buy a breakfast package delivered to your cabin.
Take a short snowshoe hike before departing back home.
Remember to bring:
- Warm underclothes, wool is recommended
- Gloves
- Warm socks

About the activity
Husky safari:
After a short explanation of how to handle the dogs and sleds, you will set off in pairs. One will be the "musher" (driver) and the other sits in the sled. You swap places during the trip.
The huskies love running on the hilly tracks and wilderness in the Svensby area, and you need to be a part of the team and help them up the hills. It is a fun experience, but also a physical workout.
Season: Daily from 1.December - 5.April (subject to weather conditions)
Duration: 3 - 3.5 hours
Number of guests: 2 - 9
Age limit: Not suitable for children under 12 years, but accompanied by guardians from 6 years.
What to bring: warm hat, socks and gloves.
Included: Thermal Winter suit and winterboots. Warm Lunch/soup.
Level: Medium. Husky mushing is for almost everyone, but you need to be physically healthy, as you will need to run and push the sled uphill.
