Aurora Salmon Centre in Skjervøy - Lerøy Aurora
Want to learn more about the aquaculture industry and experience how norwegian salmon is produced? Then you are welcome to join us for a closer look at the aquaculture industry at Skjervøy.
The Aurora Salmon Centre is Lerøy Aurora's visitors center at 70 degrees north in Skjervøy municipality in Nord-Troms. From 1st of July to 1st of August, we offer tourist information.
The concept consists of the center with a historical exhibition, which tells about the development of the fishing industry in the region from the WW II until today. This section was prepared in collaboration with Nord-Troms Museum.
The exhibition inside the center also consists of films that show today's aquaculture industry, and a taste of the industry of the future.
At the center you also get coffee / drinks, you can relax in our cafe and there is a small children's play area.
Entrance to the visitors centre is free.

We also have a tour of the salmon factory where we showcase the process from the salmon entering the factory until it leaves as a finished product for market worldwide.
The tour takes 50 minutes and must be booked in advance.
Guided tour of the salmon factory every Thursday in July.
First guided tour starts 09.00- 10.00
Second guided tour starts 10.15-11.15
We offer as well guided boat tours to our viewing location outside Skjervøy by boat. The boat trip takes 2.5 - 3 hours and must be booked in advance. Not available from 1st of July to 7th of August.
