Try Ski Touring – Beginner-Friendly Mountain Adventure - Lyngen Ski & Klatring
Ready to explore the Arctic mountains on skis? This guided ski touring trip is perfect for beginners who want to get a feel for the sport in a safe and beautiful setting. Whether you're looking to get started with ski touring or just want to try something new, this tour gives you the essential knowledge and experience — all in one day.
We'll meet in Lyngseidet at 9:30 AM. If you don’t have your own gear, everything you need can be rented from ElektroSport (right in town). Your guide will introduce you to the equipment and lead a relaxed, instructional ski tour focused on safe travel, tips and tricks for smooth skinning up, and how to enjoy the ride down.
Expect about 500 meters of vertical ascent and a tour that lasts 4–6 hours, depending on conditions and group pace. You don’t need ski touring experience, but you must be comfortable skiing downhill or have cross-country skiing experience. If you can walk 5 km at a steady pace, you'll do great!
We always tailor the route to current weather and snow conditions, as well as the group’s ability and energy level.
What is included:
- Certified Ski Guide
- Introduction to ski touring gear, safety, uphill and downhill technique
- Tailored route based on weather and group ability
