Description
The Aurora Salmon Centre is Lerøy Aurora's visitors center at 70 degrees north in Skjervøy municipality in North Troms.The exhibition inside the center consists of films that show today's aquaculture industry, and the salmons journey from roe grains to the dinner table. Furthermore the Aurora Salmon Centre offers a taste of the industry of the future, with technology and research as well as a historical exhibition prepared in collaboration with Nord-Troms Museum.
Feel free to bring the children, or stop by for a coffee.
Free entrance to the visitors centre.
Do you want a guided tour? Please contact us in advance.
Aurora Salmon Centre also offer guided tours to our viewing location Kåvika outside Skjervøy by boat. The tour takes 2.5 - 3 hours and must be booked in advance.
In summer, tourist information is also available.
Practical information
On request:We also have a tour of the salmon factory where we showcase the process from the salmon entering the factory until it leaves as a finished product for market worldwide.
The tour takes 50 minutes and must be booked in advance.
Guided tour of the salmon factory every Thursday in July.
