What can you do in Birtavarre?

Activities

Holmenes sea sami farm. Sea Sami culture and farm. Varied opening hours in summer. Contact Nord-Troms Museum +47 975 58 330 (telephone hours 09:00-15:00).

Fjærabuene. Sea Sami building tradition from the 1800s. Was used for storage of seafaring gear and fishing equipment.

Birtavarre mines. Old mining from the late 1800s.

Gorsa bridge. Standing over one of the deepest gorges in Northern Europe. A nice and simple terrain from the parking lot at Fossesvingen.

Lyngenfjord bungee. Bungee jump from the Gorsa Bridge, located 153 meters above the bottom of the canyon. Booking via the website.

Halti – Finlands highest mountain.
