Meet your driver in Tromsø, at Circle K by Fr. Nansens Plass at 18:00 on the day of departure.

The driver will take you to Lyngenfjord Hotel in Skibotn.

Our partner, Lyngen Sami Camp, invites you into their large lavvu, where you will learn about the Sámi way of life in the north.

Here you will be taken on a magical journey through Sámi storytelling, performed by Sámi wearing traditional gákti.

You will also get to experience the fascinating art of joik, which conveys culture and tradition in a deeply moving way.

To warm you up inside the atmospheric lavvu, we serve reindeer soup, campfire coffee, and a selection of hot and cold drinks.

This is a unique opportunity to get close to Sámi history, culture, and traditions in a warm and friendly environment.

You will also have the chance to observe reindeer up close, pet them, feed them, and take photos with them.

After the storytelling, we’ll head outside to enjoy the campfire under the open sky, with great chances to see the northern lights dancing above.

Stay overnight in our beautifully renovated rooms and enjoy a proper Norwegian breakfast buffet.

Explore Skibotn on your own or relax in the lounge before your journey continues back to Tromsø.

Day 1:

18:00: Departure from Tromsø

20:00: Arrival at Lyngenfjord Hotel in Skibotn

20:00–21:00: Check-in and serving of reindeer soup

21:00: Meet the reindeer — feed and photograph them

21:30: Sami storytelling in the lavvu

22:30–00:00: Campfire time, outdoor jacuzzi and sauna, with great opportunities for Northern Lights experiences


Day 2:

07:00–09:00: Breakfast buffet

09:00–12:00: Relax in our restaurant, lounge, or in your private hotel room

12:00–13:00: Check-out and lunch served in the restaurant

13:00–15:00: Explore Skibotn on your own — snowshoes can be borrowed from the hotel

15:35: Bus from Lyngenfjord Hotel to Tromsø

17:35: Bus arrives in Tromsø
