Afternoon Dogsledding in beautiful Skibotn valley - Activenorth

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon adventure with our energetic Alaskan Huskies.Their friendly spirit and enthusiasm set the tone for an authentic Arctic experience.Together, we’ll mush through the valley of Skibotn, gliding between snow-covered pine forests and into the stunning white mountain landscape.

Description

Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the extraordinary Lyngen Alps. As the afternoon light gradually shifts toward evening, the peaceful Arctic wilderness surrounds us, creating a truly magical atmosphere. After an exciting and scenic journey, we return to the cosy camp, filled with memories of teamwork, nature, and the incredible bond between you and your husky team. This is more than a tour – it’s a true Arctic dogsledding experience.

SEASON

1 December – 11 April (If the snow has not come, we drive with carts)  

Minimum 2 pers. Maximum 20 pers


MEETING POINT

11:45 outside Scandic Ishavshotel Tromsø, the Activenorth bus leaves at 12:00. Look for the Activenorth bus. Arrival in Skibotn ca 14:15.

Back in Tromsø ca 20:00.


DURATION OF ACTIVITY 

3.5 hr at the Camp (Preparations, instructions, approx. 60 minutes dog sledding, lunch and relaxing at the camp) + transfer from Tromsø ca 2 hours each way.

WE RECOMMEND

  • Dress worm, wool is best as base layers.
  • Bring extra wool socks, neck warmer and goggles/sunglasses
  • Read all the information so you don’t miss anything 



NB! During december/early january it will be dark/partially dark during the dog sledding and you will get a headlamp for the trip.
