In these cases, we ask for the information we require to deliver the booked service and/or contact the person. On occasions, we ask for other information that is used for statistical purposes, such as age or postal address. Visitors to the website register their personal data in our forms of their own free will.

10. SSL encryption

Our websites are secured with an SSL certificate. In other words, they are encrypted. This is shown by the address starting with https, rather than the standard http. The ‘s’ stands for secure. You can check this by clicking on the padlock symbol displayed beside the website address in your web browser.

11. Facebook login

On some pages, you have the option of writing comments via a Facebook comments box. Any comments you publish will be linked to your Facebook profile, and will be displayed with your profile photo, name and occupation/workplace. Your comment and the above-mention information from your profile will be displayed on the page on which you wrote it and will be visible to all visitors to this page. This information is the property of Facebook and is not stored by Visit Lyngenfjord AS. Visit Lyngenfjord AS does not use your comments or profile information beyond it being displayed in the comments section on the relevant page.

If you are logged in to your Facebook account, you can also “like” pages on the website. If you have liked a page on visit-lyngenfjord.com, your friends can see that you liked the relevant page. Other users with whom you are not Facebook friends will only see the number of people who have clicked “like”.
In such cases, Facebook’s privacy policy is applicable. View Facebook’s privacy policy on facebook.com.

12. Booking on visit-lyngenfjord.com

13. Booking buttons and external links

If this link leads to a website other than visit-lyngenfjord.com, Visit Lyngenfjord AS is not the controller for personal data on the external website. In such cases, the privacy policy of the external website is applicable.

Several parts of the website include integrated content from external websites, such as TripAdvisor, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, in the form of widgets or other built-in elements. Such elements leave cookies in your web browser, which they use to compile statistics and for marketing purposes. Visit Lyngenfjord AS does not store information about your use of these elements. However, these are collected and stored by the external company (TripAdvisor, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr or Instagram, etc.).
