During the cold winter months the sea in Nord-Lenangen in Lyngen freezes, making it perfect for ice fishing. It's possible to catch cod and haddock. Join us on a guided ice fishing tour and try your luck!

In Nord-Lenangsbotn in the northern part of the Lyngen peninsula, the sea freezes in the winter and makes it a great place for fishing cod and haddock. We will use snowshoes or snowmobile to reach the ice. You will participate in drilling holes in the ice, prepare your own fishing gear and then try your luck fishing. Reindeer furs on the ground will keep you warm.

The wilderness will surround you when you take a break from fishing. We make a bonfire and serve hot drink and a light meal.

Included: Guide, snowmobile/snowshoes, meals, ice fishing gear, warm clothes
Season: mid-February to mid-April depending on ice conditions.
Duration: from 11.00 (11am) to 14.00 (2pm)

Possible with pick up in Tromsø, departure 08:45 from outside the Scandic Ishavshotel with the Arctic Route bus to Lyngen. Return to Tromsø at ca 16:15

Possible with pick up Svensby at 10:20 from the ferry pier. Please advise us in advance.
